How is it made?

There are different methods involved, including pot stills and continuous stills, resulting in a final distillate with an alcohol content of 60 to 90%. It's then diluted to between 33% and 50% alcohol by volume, or 66 to 100 proof. And get this, some arrack is matured for up to 15 years for maximum flavour and fragrance.
